UPDATED: MAN CHARGED: ILKESTON:
Saturday 7th June: A 20 year old man has been charged
with murder after an incident outside Ilkeston's Aldi Store at the bottom
of Bath Street at around 3:00am on Friday 6th June. The victim,
named as 36 year old Anthony Collins, suffered significant injuries and
died later the same day at Nottingham's Queens Medical Centre.
Joshua Clark from Ilkeston was charged on Saturday 7th June and will
appear in court on June 23rd. If you

LONG EATON: Monday 16th June/Tuesday 17th June:
Police are searching for an arsonist who attempted to set a
barn alight in Long Eaton. The attempt took place at some point
between 5pm on Monday 16th and 6am on Tuesday 17th June behind JDP
Furniture Group's store on Wellington Street. It is reported that a
person had climbed over a 6ft fence before starting the blaze in the wood

ILKESTON: Sunday 15th June/Monday 16th June:
Fruit machines were targeted by thieves who broke into the
White Cow public house in Nottingham Road, Ilkeston at some point between
Midnight on Sunday 15th June and 6am the following morning. A
projector and screen was also taken in the raid. The theft was
completed after the raiders forced their way through a conservatory.

LITTLE EATON: Thursday 12th / Friday 13th June:
A total of 28 koi carp were stolen from Derby Garden Centre in
Little Eaton at some point between 5:20pm on Thursday 12th and 8:00am on
Friday 13th June. A specialist fish container was also taken.
Police are appealing for information. If you have any information or
are offered a quantity of koi carp under suspicious circumstances, call

ILKESTON: Thursday 12th June: A small
fire was put out by a police officer after vandals set shrubs alight.
The fire was started at around 8:30pm on Thursday 12th June. A group
of youths were responsible for the blaze on Little Hallam Hill in
Ilkeston, but had fled by the time the police officer arrived.

ILKESTON: Tuesday 3rd June: A burglar
smashed a toilet window of AMF Bowling in Derby Road, Ilkeston at around
11:20pm on Tuesday 2nd June and left with a plasma TV screen. The
television was taken from the bar area but seven games machines were also
targeted with a quantity of money removed. Police report that the
thief struck after the premises were locked up for the night. If you

KIRK HALLAM: Monday 2nd June: Police
are appealing for information after a man indecently exposed himself to
two nine year old girls in Kirk Hallam. The incident took place on
Monday 2nd June at around 4:50pm. After witnessing the act, the
frightened girls ran off onto open land near Wyndale Drive. The
offender is described as white, around 40 years of age with short dark
hair, wearing beige trousers, a burgundy coat and long sleeved blue shirt.
The man spoke to the girls before exposing himself. Anyone with

ILKESTON: Monday 2nd June: £1,000
worth of cigarettes have been stolen after a window in a Citroen Berlingo
was smashed in Nottingham Road, Ilkeston on Monday 2nd June at around
1:20pm. The thief is described as white, aged around 18, 5ft 8in
tall, with short hair, and wearing jeans and a khaki jacket. After
committing the crime, he ran down Graham Street before getting into a
waiting silver car. Call Police on 0845 123 3333 with any

LONG
EATON: Monday 26th May: Police would like
to speak with a man who used a mobile phone to film a masked gang which
was raiding a building society in Long Eaton. Witnesses told Police
that they thought the footage may exist - detectives think the man may
post it online or share it with friends, without considering that it may
help Police with their enquiries. The raid took place at around
6:30pm on Monday 26th May when three men in balaclavas followed security
guards into the Halifax on the Market Place, armed with hammers and
machetes. The guards were forced to hide in a staff area, leaving
the robbers to escape with cases of cash using a getaway car parked in
nearby Regent Street. The vehicle, thought to be a black Seat Ibiza
or Leon, was last seen travelling along Nottingham Road towards the A52.
Police have traced several people who were in the vicinity at the time of
the raid, including one who gave 999 crews a running commentary via phone,

SANDIACRE: Thursday 22nd May: A
cyclist riding a bike alongside the Erewash Canal in Sandiacre was
attacked by a knife-wielding robber, The attack took place at around
12:30pm on Thursday 22nd May at the Sandiacre Crossroads. The robber
forced the rider to handover his red and white bike, before riding off
towards Ilkeston. He is described as white, around 5ft 8in tall of
stocky build. He was wearing dark clothing and had short dark hair
and was previously seen walking towards Long Eaton from Sandiacre.

ILKESTON: Tuesday 20th May: Police are
appealing for witnesses after two young men were seen smashing the window
of a car before making off with a laptop computer. The incident
occurred at around 4:30pm in Manners Avenue, Ilkeston on Tuesday 20th May.
The men were last seen driving off in an X-registered red Volkswagen Polo.
Police are reminding motorists to ensure that they do not leave valuables
on display, and preferably not in vehicles at all. Call 0845 123
