  • An 800 year old Dale Abbey church which sustained damage in the recent earth tremor is to begin renovation work after the award of an £83,000 lottery grant.  All Saints Church will use the money to pay for two stages of major repairs including roof work.  Several slates were disturbed during the recent earthquake, but the church has been in need of urgent repairs for some time.  All Saints is the only church in the country to share a roof with a farm building.
