Where am I :
Programmes (Meet The Team) > Presenters > Dave Halls
Dave
Halls has spent a great deal of time working in and around the Erewash area,
particularly sharing working hours between offices in Derby and Ilkeston.
He met fellow Erewash Sound presenter Ian Perry whilst working as an interviewer
and producer for BBC Radio Derby, in particular interviewing pop stars at
Derby’s Pink Coconut Nightclub. When the Saturday night presenter seat became
vacant at BBC Radio Derby, Dave successfully slotted in and quickly made the
show – The Saturday Night Dance Party – very much his own.
As well as featuring star interviews, Dave’s BBC Local Radio show was renowned
for airing new releases, reflecting local night life, airing vox pops and album
reviews for which he invited Ian in to produce, and creating an essential
soundtrack for anyone getting ready to party the night away locally.
Dave then also joined Radio Link - Derby's Hospital Radio Station, and later,
Pride FM, also in Derby. He’s even spent a considerable amount of time on the
day job working with Ian, but has recently put the office career aside to
firstly concentrate on establishing what is now a hugely successful Mobile Disco
Roadshow, and, along with this, he’s also pursuing a separate career as an
electrician.
Dave’s broadcasting experience and other skills base forms yet another part of
the developing set up and quality within the presentation team here at Erewash
Sound.
