Paul first became interested in radio back in the late 1970s when he did some voluntary work on BFBS Cyprus.  He moved into mobile discos and nightclub DJ’ing for a few years until the early 1990s when he got his first short-term licence radio station off the ground.

This became a great success and even led Paul onto being one of the few Millennium broadcasters running such a station.  Paul also runs his own successful company - Radio Creations - serving many short-term and even full-time radio stations with jingles and commercials.

He has learnt many skills since his first short-term radio station, from understanding how the station sound gets on the air with its transmission to actually building the studios from scratch.  Up until now, Paul has been involved with 19 short-term licence radio stations (running up to 28 days at a time), as a presenter, producer, and as part of station management.

Outside of his roles with Erewash Sound, Paul has carried out a great deal of work on internet radio, and is currently assisting four community groups with their short-term licence plans - each of them should soon become full time stations.
